This modern approach eliminates the need for applicants to visit an embassy or consulate in person, as the entire application process can be completed online from the comfort of their home or office. Once approved, the Indian e-Visa is issued electronically, providing a hassle-free and efficient way for travelers to obtain the necessary permissions to enter India.

The Indian e-Visa is available in several categories tailored to different travel needs, such as Tourist, Business, Medical, and Conference visas. Each category comes with its own specific validity periods, number of entries allowed, and conditions that must be met.
